A unique celebration of the agricultural heart of our region, this bespoke Western Downs themed playground will delight in the day and light up the night.

Council has engaged leading bespoke playground designers, Forge, to design and construct the new adventure playground as part of the broader park precinct master plan created in partnership with Vee Design.

This awe-inspiring playground is designed to appeal to all ages and abilities, and our community has informed the design process every step of the way. The new playground includes slides, climbing nets, and sensory play, with accessibility and inclusivity in mind.

Many of the inclusions in the playground design have come directly from community ideas and youth feedback we received during the park visioning activities held in Dalby and online in 2024.

Throughout the design process, significant care has been taken to carefully position play elements, structures and pathways around the existing trees, ensuring the trees remain a defining feature of the park.

Detailed design for the playground is currently at 90 per cent complete. The next step will be be the tender process for construction of the adjacent pathways, landscaping, seating and gathering areas.
