This Sisters of Mercy site was a popular choice with the original CAP group who were excited at the potential to protect and revitalise the historical gothic style St Columba's Convent building and the local stories it holds. Unfortunately, after further investigation, this site has been found to be unviable due to serious challenges surrounding the heritage listing, the age and condition of the building itself, as well as the fact that it is not under council ownership. Also, the site's flood resilience is a serious concern, and potential hazards like asbestos adds regulatory challenges to overcome first
