Background
Lions Park in Jandowae is a large, flat grassed parkland with plenty of open space and shady trees. The park currently has sheltered picnic tables, bench seating, BBQ facilities and play equipment, and hosts a monthly market by the local Lions Club. The Lions Club also have a small club house on site, and a non-operational miniature railway.
We have undertaken community engagement to understand what's important about Lions Park, what you value in your community spaces, and what should be considered for the new masterplan.
Where
We Are Now
Following in-person and online engagement with the Jandowae community, we gathered insights into the unique opportunities associated with Lions Park and developed a Draft Sketch Masterplan — discussed in the latest community workshop in November.
A Draft Masterplan was then developed incorporating the feedback from the secondary round of community engagement. We asked the community to provide feedback one last time before the plan was finalised and this final round of engagement has now closed.

Feedback will be considered before the finalisation of the masterplan.
Next Steps
After carefully considering the feedback provided in this final round of community engagement, our team of experts will make any necessary amendments and finalise the Masterplan for Jandowae's Lions Park, producing shovel ready plans for when funding can be allocated.
