Help shape the laws that govern our communities at local level!

We’re updating our local laws to keep them relevant, fair, and in tune with our community’s needs. These changes could impact how we live, work, and enjoy our shared spaces – and we want your input before decisions are made.

Join the debate on how we regulate!

This is your opportunity to inform the rules that shape our everyday life. Our current laws and subordinate laws were adopted in 2011.

The way we live, do business, spend our recreational time, and care for our local environment has changed significantly over the past 15 years and we need regulations that are relevant, fair, and aligned to the modern needs of our communities.

Between 12 May and 21 July 2026, we will be seeking public views on a wide range of issues related our local to local laws.
