The Western Downs Public Art Trail is a collection of artworks masterfully created by acclaimed regional artists that have been thoughtfully placed throughout the region bringing joy and inspiration to visitors and residents.

Three breathtaking public artworks have been funded through Council's 10-year capital Public Arts Program. Council has committed $50,000 per year over the 10-year program, which has included the delivery of:

  • Future Vision lanterns sculpture by Chris Calcutt - Anderson Park, Dalby (2022/23
  • How Ya Goin' mural by Regina Hyland - Tara Lagoon Parklands (2023/24)
  • Stacks On sculpture series by Fred Beel - Lake Broadwater (2024/25)

Now it's the 'Bun's turn. The Kaimkillenbun Public Art Project is being commissioned to acknowledge, inspire and celebrate the 'Bun community through art.
