Our Corporate Plan 2026-2031 outlines Council's goals to make our region an even better place to live, work, and play.

Guided by important feedback from our communities, the Council's new Corporate Plan 2026-2031 was adopted at the January 2026 Ordinary Meeting of Council.

From 8 December 2025 to 2 January 2026, we invited residents to view the draft plan and provide feedback on 20 proposed strategic priorities to help ensure our vision reflected the needs and aspirations of our community.

A strong Corporate Plan is our foundation for transparent decision making, effective budget management, and delivering impactful projects that benefit the whole region. Council thanks the community for its valued input to shape the new plan.

The plan guides our objectives under four strategic priorities:

• Diverse Thriving Economy

• Vibrant Connected Community

• Balanced Prosperous Lifestyle

• Sustainable Effective Council

These are the four pillars that govern our commitment to people, progress, performance, and place.

The endorsed Western Downs Regional Council Corporate Plan 2026-31 will be effective from 1 July 2026.
